Description

Left-handers hold their sharpener in their right hand, and the pencil in their left. In this way, the ergonomics of the container and the direction of the blade are adapted to the left-handed person’s right hand. Double pencil sharpener for small and large pencils (diameter 8 and 11 mm) Developed in collaboration with Dr. Johanna Barbara Sattler, psychotherapist and psychologist at the First German Study and Information Center for Left-handers in Munich, Medi-Grip is the first pencil sharpener to draw on the physiology of the right hand to design the body/reservoir of a left-handed pencil sharpener. Thanks to its special shape, the fingers of the right hand are naturally in the right position to sharpen pencils and, thanks to its large size in relation to the pencil, the child’s natural tendency will be to keep the right hand fixed, so that only the left hand can rotate around the axis marked by the pencil to be sharpened.  Therapeutic use: the sure-footed muscular coordination acquired with this sharpener can be put to good use in therapy (ergotherapy and physiotherapy), and the movements thus trained used on other types of equipment. Keep the reservoir and replace only the double pencil sharpener on sale on this site.  Made in Germany.
